The system, based on a calibrated pressure treatment principle and the use of ozonated gel, allows for deep treatment of the entire dental arch, even in the most difficult-to-reach areas, painlessly and without invasive procedures. This combination improves the health of dental and gum tissue, reducing inflammation and promoting natural regeneration.

“The goal is to make dental care a simple and painless practice of ongoing prevention, both in the clinic and for home care, not a procedure to be feared,” explains Massimo Basso, founder and president of Oria Dental. “With ORIA BITE, we wanted to combine the precision of university research with a concrete technology that can truly become part of dental practices and people’s daily lives.”

The project is the result of a long collaboration between Oria Dental and researchers at the University of Pavia, who worked side by side to develop a scientifically validated and clinically safe system. Laboratory tests and clinical protocols have confirmed the safety and efficacy of the device. The University of Pavia and its partners specializing in dental software played a key role in defining the pressure parameters and gel flow distribution, ensuring a reliable and replicable technology.

“The patent is just the starting point,” adds Basso. “What really matters is the ability to translate innovation into daily practice, offering dentists more effective tools and patients a completely different experience: less fear, more comfort, more prevention.”

Beyond the technological aspect, Oria Dental also places great emphasis on the system’s sustainability and scalability. The ORIA BITE devices and gel cartridges are designed to reduce waste and be easily integrated into existing dental office procedures, without requiring costly modifications or new equipment.

The ORIA BITE treatment involves an initial phase in the dental office, where the professional uses an intraoral scanner to take a personalized impression of the patient’s bite. This creates a custom-made device that perfectly fits the dental arch. The system operates at controlled pressure and uses a disposable cartridge of ozonated gel that is inserted inside the bite. Once worn, the device evenly distributes the gel across the entire surface of the teeth and gums, reaching even the most difficult-to-treat areas with traditional instruments.

The procedure is simple and non-invasive: after the first dentist-guided session, patients can continue the treatment at home, following professional instructions. Multiple applications are generally recommended, with periodic use, to maintain optimal oral health and enhance the gel’s regenerative and antibacterial effects.

The heart of the patented system is the ORIA DENTAL bite guard, which, combined with the action of the ozone gel, promotes oral tissue regeneration and helps improve deep dental hygiene. The gel releases active oxygen that fights pathogenic bacteria responsible for tooth decay and inflammation, while also contributing to a natural whitening effect on the tooth surface.

The first-year home-use patient kit includes two customized ORIA BITE mouthguards, 12 single-dose cartridges with ozonated gel (for 6 treatments), ozone toothpaste, ozone mouthwash, protective cases, and step-by-step video tutorials. The second-year patient kit includes 8 single-dose cartridges with ozonated gel (for 4 treatments), ozone toothpaste, and ozone mouthwash.

For dental professionals, the clinical kit provides the tools to perform the first application and guide patients at home. It includes an intraoral scanner for mapping the dental arches, an endoscopic camera to monitor gel coverage, and a pressure gauge to confirm pressure.
