SyncThink extends its partnership with Pico Interactive to integrate its platform with Pico Neo 3 Pro eye headset and provide physicians with the newest breakthroughs in Virtual Reality while also delivering a best-in-class patient experience.
Fremont, CA: “We are excited to continue our work with Pico on the 3 Pro Eye to continue to provide clinicians with the latest technological advancements in Virtual Reality, while simultaneously delivering a best in class patient experience,” states SyncThink CCO Scott Anderson. SyncThink, a next-generation neurotechnology company and creator of the award-winning EYE-SYNC technology, expands its partnership with Pico Interactive, a global technology company that develops innovative VR and enterprise solutions, and the integration of its platform into the Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye headset. The acquisition of the 3 Pro Eye headset expands the availability of the FDA-cleared EYE-SYNC technology to three breakthroughs XR devices, with a fourth in development and future device integrations to be revealed.
The Neo 3 Pro Eye enables EYE-SYNC to take advantage of a fully integrated headset that enables patient assessments to begin within 10 seconds of powering up. Clinicians can collect more meaningful and comprehensive data to assist clinical decisions with the built-in Tobii eye tracking capabilities working at 90Hz. Additionally, capabilities such as surround sound spatial audio automate test procedures and patient instructions, resulting in significant time savings. This month, SyncThink will begin shipping Neo 3 headsets, providing upgrade paths for existing customers.
SyncThink and the EYE-SYNC technology obtained its second FDA clearance in 2021 as a tool for diagnosing concussions or mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). It combines proprietary software and data analytics with high-performance eye-tracking sensors to quantify and assess biomarkers of impairment or disease in eye movement. It is being employed by healthcare practitioners in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, as well as in sports, the military, and in the development of CNS drugs on a global scale.
“We value our growing relationship with the SyncThink team and are pleased by their commitment to using the 3 Pro Eye to better serve their product mission. It is exciting to see Pico's unique XR devices enable their market leading software and analytics tools to become more accessible to patient care sites everywhere,” comments Mika Cavanaugh, US Account Director for Pico Interactive.
