PDPM solution can browse the EHR for all the pertinent data fields that drive reimbursements for PDPM and transfer the insights to the interdisciplinary teams for accurate coding.

With the new Medicare Payment rule set to commence from October 1, 2019, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) are trying to understand more than 20,000 categories and over 140 additional MDS items that will be utilized for the calculation of reimbursements. Real Time's PDPM solution can scour the EHR for all the relevant data fields that drive reimbursements for PDPM and deliver the results to the interdisciplinary teams for accurate coding.
El Harris, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Real Time Medical Systems said, "SNFs need to be focused on caring for patients, not concerned how to correctly code in PDPM to capture the correct revenue for the care they are providing. Our flagship interventional analytics software platform helps them do both. When it comes to PDPM, we want to give SNFs a tool that will easily manage PDPM's Initial Assessment (IA) and Interim Payment Assessments (IPA) – giving facilities confidence that they will be paid correctly."
Based on live EHR data, Real Time's PDPM solution can determine when a change in the resident's condition has occurred and immediately alert clinical leadership that an Interim Payment Assessment may be warranted. These alerts are embedded in the company's Shift-to-Shift reports, which are viewed by staff several times per day. This feature ensures if a change in care is needed, then the facility submits this information and maximizes their reimbursements immediately.
Harris further stated that "Real Time's PDPM solution was developed in collaboration with Zimmet Healthcare Services Group, LLC (ZHSG), a post-acute care consulting firm servicing 2,500+ providers and industry stakeholders nationwide. Their in-depth knowledge within the post-acute setting, paired with our robust interventional analytics platform allowed us the opportunity to develop a unique PDPM solution that exceeds those provided in today's market. We are also excited to be expanding our PDPM solution and will be announcing these new features during the Zimmet Healthcare Seminar this August in Ocean City, MD."
