FREMONT, CA: Quell 2.0 is a smart, compact, and powerful wearable therapeutic device. It is a 100 percent drug-free system that adopts prescription-strength nerve-stimulation technology to block chronic pain. The device is designed for various types and sources of pain and has been shown in clinical studies to relieve chronic pain, hoping to solve the chronic pain crisis.
Designed by NeuroMetrix, A Class II medical device, Quell 2.0, an updated version of Quell, is an advanced form of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). The equipment is worn on the leg, irrespective of the pain site, and sends neural pulses to the brain that activate a natural pain relief response in the central nervous system.
The device has a credit card sized footprint so that it is inobtrusive and comfortable under clothing worn in a breathable soft, elastic band. A proprietary neurostimulation microchip drives the equipment. It is 50 percent smaller than the original Quell device, yet it outputs up to 20 percent more electrical power. Quell technology is up to 10x more potent than typical Over The Counter (OTC) TENS devices.
A new intensive treatment option will be appended to Quell 2.0 that carries intensive nerve stimulation concentrated into a 15-minute session. This therapy choice will give Quell users another choice for obtaining pain relief, one that may act quicker than standard Quell therapy. The Quell Relief application made using intensive and standard treatment seamless to attain the best possible pain relief for every individual.
With a typical battery life of up 25 hours, Quell 2.0 is a wearable pain device FDA cleared for day and nighttime use and has been designed for several types and sources of chronic pain. After a simple set up, Quell will mechanically deliver therapy and is so smart that it will adapt treatment through the day.
