OCP Group manufactures and distributes dependable cables, wire-harnesses, and subassemblies to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in multiple industries, from Industrial Equipment and Instrumentation to Medical and Storage. OCP Group was featured as one of the top 10 MedTech Material Providers - 2020 in MedTech Outlook.
“We are seeing the beginning of a sea change in Medical Device OEM’s pivot towards hybridization of industry standards versus traditional circular multi-pole push-pull connectors due to their very compelling value. New cable assembly design requests for Electro-Surgical, Diagnostic, and Therapeutic medical applications based on adapted versions of industry standards like Displayport, HDMI, and USB 3.1 have now become our most common new medical cable projects. OCP has developed reference cable designs using these connector types with everything from ISO 10993 Biocompatible materials to Hybrid Copper-Fiber solutions,” says Treacy Sommer, Founder and Business Development Director of OCP.
These kits are designed to be the beginning point of the design. They are intended to be aligned with major, relevant characteristics typical in the design criteria for Medical or Instrument OEM’s. These comprise AHA color marking/coding, famous DIN sizes, or Biocompatible materials for Disposable as well as Reusable cable designs.
