Healthcare Trackers Focused on Cardiovascular Health

Connected health is a range of technology-enabled care programs and has the potential for new healthcare delivery strategies. The combination of health technology, digital media, and mobile devices is a part of connected health. It allows patients and healthcare professionals to more easily access data and to improve the quality and results of healthcare services.
Withings is a healthcare company that revolutionizes the health industry through its launch of the first Wi-Fi scale worldwide in 2009. Since then, the brand has become synonymous with the integration of innovative and meaningful measures in easy-to-use devices that enable people to make the right health decisions.
The 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2019), the world’s largest technology event, took place on 7 January 2019 in Las Vegas. Withings revealed three new health products such as Withings Move, Withings Move ECG, and Withings BPM Core that are designed specifically for measuring fitness and focusing on cardiovascular health.
The new BPM Core is the most advanced home cardiovascular monitor in the world, enabling users to measure blood pressure, take an electrocardiogram (ECG), and listen to the heart through a digital stethoscope. Designed as a traditional arm cuff, users place the cuff on the upper arm and press the button to measure all three in 90 seconds. Data is then sent through Bluetooth or WiFi to Withing’s accompanying Health Mate app. The results can also be shared with a healthcare professional to help detect atrial fibrillation and valvular heart disease earlier.
The move has more advanced activity and sleep-tracking features while Move ECG is designed to monitor cardiovascular health, as with the BPM Core. When users experience symptoms of the condition, such as palpitations, they merely have to touch both sides of the bezel to record an ECG. Measurements are taken in just 30 seconds before they are sent to the Health Mate app to tell users if the heart beats typically or if problems arise.
Withings BPM Core and Move ECG will be available at $249.95 and $ 129.95 respectively for purchase in the second quarter of 2019. Move is now available in the U.S. at $69.95 for shipping in February 2019.
