Biomerics has joined hands with Northeast Laser & Electropolish (NLE) with the creation of new metal division as immediate aftermath.
FREMONT, CA: Biomerics has merged with Northeast Laser & Electropolish (NLE), and the unification will result in metals division of Biomerics called Biomerics NLE, which will provide full-service metal processing to the surgical and interventional device markets.
NLE offers laser processing, contract manufacturing, machining, and metal finishing services to a whole range of medical device manufacturers. It has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry. On the other hand, Biomerics offers a comprehensive line of manufacturing capabilities such as materials, extrusion, injection molding, braiding, balloon manufacturing, metal processing, and device assembly. It also specializes in the development, design, and production of medical devices for interventional processes in the structural heart, cardiovascular, cardiac rhythm management, neurovascular, electrophysiology, vascular access, and gastrointestinal/urology markets. It possesses ISO-13485 compliant operations in Utah, Minnesota, Connecticut, Texas, Indiana, and Costa Rica.

Biomerics will unify its Advanced Laser processing operations situated in Brooklyn Park, MN to the newly created Biomerics NLE division with plans to add services and capabilities. The addition of NLE capabilities to the Biomerics Group fulfills an unmet need for their customers. Biomerics was committed to expanding the division geographically while adding additional metal processing capabilities including Swiss machining, CNC machining, wire processing, grinding, and secondary metal finishing.
The merger is the next step for Biomerics’ vision toward establishing themselves as a vertically integrated leader in the surgical medical device and minimally invasive interventional market.
