Breast-SlimView assesses malignancy risk through a three-level risk score—high, medium, or low risk. This scoring system aids radiologists in determining whether to proceed directly to a biopsy, conduct an ultrasound or focus on a specific area for further examination.

It also compares current mammograms with previous exams and tracks density and malignancy changes over time. This feature allows radiologists to quickly assess any evolution in the patient’s breast health and make swift decisions regarding follow-up actions.

Beyond its detection capability, Breast-SlimView overcomes many challenges associated with current mammography procedures. For example, the software helps technologists evaluate the quality of the exam using the ‘mammography technical evaluation’ feature. Typically, if the image quality is suboptimal, technologists must wait for the radiologist to review the exam and point out any deficiencies, which can lead to delays and the need for retakes. This process can alarm patients, making them anxious about potential findings, while also requiring them to undergo the stressful and uncomfortable imaging process again.

The software provides immediate feedback on whether the image quality is optimal or suboptimal, and if necessary, suggests corrections, streamlining the workflow and reducing the risk of missed diagnoses due to poor image quality.
