ExplORer Surgical Introduces Advanced Audio and Video Abilities to Support Remote Work
ExplORer Surgical has announced a collection of advanced audio or video abilities that will make remote support highly effective.
FREMONT, CA: ExplORer Surgical is the only complete intraoperative case support and workflow platform. It has recently announced a collection of innovative audio or video abilities that will make remote support highly effective. It will even promote exceptional levels of communication and guidance among the medical device rep and the surgical team.
The platform is the first to securely provide every critical feature for virtual meetings and communication that is expected in the remote work environment in a platform used for surgery. ExplORer Surgical utilizes augmented reality technology to increase the user experience for both the rep and the surgical team. The system even supports telestration correctly and quickly offers guidance virtually without disruption or distraction to the workflow and efficiency. It also provides essential features for zooming in and out on objects, procedural areas, and other elements that need better visibility and screen sharing. For example, when a rep in the room might utilize a laser pointer to highlight critical instruments on the mayo stand. A remote rep or proctor might highlight that item remotely on the screen. They can even save a picture of that telestration to ExplORer's secure server.
It has been recently introduced to alleviate new restrictions generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, ExplORer Surgicals HIPAA compliant, two-way video for case support, and remote proctoring works alongside the platform's complete digitized procedural workflow application. The digital workflow develops a playbook of best practices specific to the processes and every surgical team member, making crucial information available throughout the procedure.
"We are making a significant investment in the latest intelligence that demonstrates a substantial difference in how efficiently a procedure runs and how proficient both the rep and the surgical team are at the procedure. Improvements in these areas equate to operational excellence, time and money savings, and overall, increased safety," said Jennifer Fried, CEO of ExplORer Surgical. "Our entire platform is built on OR efficiency research from the University of Chicago, and we continue to identify the best ways to bring exciting technologies into surgical workflows that make sense and dont further complicate the OR or procedural suites. In a rapidly changing world and in high-stakes environments like the OR, we are dedicated to finding the best methods to bring innovation to the surgical team."
