ELITechGroup Molecular Diagnostics supplies their testing kit SARS-CoV-2 to various countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
FREMONT, CA: ELITechGroup Molecular Diagnostics (ELITechGroup), is a leading provider of diagnostic testing products. In recent times, the company has distributed more than 3.5 million SARS-CoV-2 tests all over the world. It has also implemented more than 500 of its top diagnostics instruments, which consist of the ELITe InGenius polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system, worldwide, with over a hundred placed since the beginning of the pandemic. The system permits laboratories to consistently detect SARS-CoV-2 in only a few hours and conduct similar testing for other diseases, like flu, to make sure they make an accurate diagnosis.
Since 2016, the ELITe InGenius has been extensively utilized in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Due to its dependability and flexibility, ELITechGroup has become one of the first organizations to have SARS-CoV-2 tests with a sample-to-result system. ELITechGroup has been on the lead for fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe, and since early March in Italy, they have been continuously providing testing kits not only domestically, but also to other affected countries, like the UK, the United States, the Benelux, France, and more.
The ELITe InGenius is an entirely automated solution that can manage 12 samples simultaneously and provide results in less than 2.5 hours. There are various advantages to this centralized high-throughput testing methods. One of them is that they do not have to wait for a large batch of samples to gather before testing. There are also no delays from dispatching the samples off-premises to the central laboratory.
“The continued rapid spread of the novel coronavirus makes it important for every country to test as many patients as possible, as quickly as possible,” said ELITechGroup CEO, Christoph Gauer. “We are proud to have played an essential role in equipping healthcare staff with the testing tools they need. We have now expanded our manufacturing capacity to help provide additional ELITe InGenius systems to both new and existing hospitals and laboratories, globally and to support healthcare systems to prepare for the expectedly increasing demand for rapid and reliable diagnostics for all patients.”
