Since the pandemic venture capitalist investment for the healthcare field has dramatically increased. According to a survey from 2021, healthcare businesses will emphasize their Medtech AI investments over the next two years, with telemedicine (38 percent), robotic tasks (37 percent), and patient care delivery being the top three priorities (36 percent). In addition, regulators are now opening-up to more innovative study designs using real world evidence for post-market surveillance like post-market clinical follow-up studies on safety and performance. Despite working under COVID-19 conditions for the third year, the pandemic continues to demonstrate the importance of the medtech startups for a nation's health infrastructure. That said, the healthcare industry is currently expanding beyond episodic care and procedures, several start-ups have developed novel solutions that combine emerging technologies with innovative hardware to compete with existing market players. With a major focus on digital capabilities, medtech startups will continue to flourish as healthcare providers seek to leverage next-gen technology for a more efficient, convenient, and cost-effective treatment of ailments and injuries. In this edition of MedTech Outlook Europe, we present the list of the region's Top 10 MedTech Startups in Europe 2022 and Top 5 MedTech Startups in the UK 2022.
